Children can typically start from age 12, but we assess readiness based on confidence around water and maturity. We offer beginner training tailored to younger members.
The process is not complicated at all. We welcome beginners and teach rowing techniques in a safe, structured, and fun environment.
Yes. Safety is our top priority. All sessions are supervised by qualified coaches, and lifejackets are provided for coastal training. We follow Irish Coastal Rowing Federation safety protocols.
Youth teams generally train 1–2 times per week, with more sessions available closer to regatta season. Schedules are age-appropriate and flexible.
The club provides boats, oars, and safety gear. Kids only need comfortable sportswear and runners — we’ll guide you through any extras as needed.
Yes — we have competitive teams across men’s and women’s divisions, from juniors to seniors. Let us know your experience, and we’ll slot you into the right level.
