Last night, Gurrane Boat Club hosted our first-ever Table Quiz Fundraiser in Francie Sheahan’s Bar, Killorglin — and what a night it was! We were absolutely blown away by the turnout and support from our local community, club members, friends, and families. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy, laughter, and plenty of healthy competition. It was everything we hoped for and more, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to making it such a memorable event.
A Night Full of Fun — and Teamwork!
Our brilliant MC for the evening was none other than Mr. Killorglin himself – Podge Foley. Podge kept the night flowing with his signature wit and charm, ensuring both the questions and the craic kept coming.
Behind the scenes, a big thank you goes to Brendan, who sorted out the mic and sound to keep everything running smoothly. Thanks also to Emma, Clodagh, and Breda for keeping the scoreboard accurate and the answer sheets in check — a task that required both sharp eyes and quick thinking!
We’re incredibly grateful to James, Avril, and Aisling, who handled the answer sheets and sold raffle tickets throughout the night. Thanks to them and to all who donated, our raffle was a great success — and a bit of extra excitement on top of the quiz!
