What a morning to be out on the water! With calm conditions and clear skies over Killorglin, Gurrane Boat Club made the most of the perfect start to the day — putting in a solid training session as preparations continue for next weekend’s Flesk Valley Rowing Club Time Trial.
Mike Scannell led a dedicated group through an early session, pushing fitness, technique, and crew coordination with an eye on race-day performance. Spirits were high, and the commitment from everyone on the water was clear — this is a club that’s building momentum with every outing.
As always, it’s more than just training. Mornings like this are a reminder of the community we’re building — crews coming together with a shared purpose and plenty of determination.
With the Flesk Valley time trial just around the corner, the focus now shifts to sharpening race pace and staying ready. We’re looking forward to getting back out there and representing Gurrane once again.
