All-Ireland Over and Out — What a Weekend

Gurrane Boat Club had an incredible weekend at the All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships. After three days of tough competition, we’re heading home from Dingle proud, grateful, and more united than ever.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the year — our sponsors, families, friends, and volunteers. Your backing has been essential, and this weekend showed just how far we’ve come in such a short space of time.

Our Results
Across multiple categories, our crews gave it everything. We’re proud to be bringing home:

  • Bronze – Men’s Double
  • Bronze – Ladies Sprint
  • Bronze – Junior Ladies Sprint
  • Gold – Veteran Men
  • Fourth Place – Sprint Men
  • Fourth Place – Pre-Veteran Men

Each race was hard-fought, and every rower left it all on the water.

A Boat and a Memory
This championship also marked the first outing of our newest boat, Juman. It was a significant moment for the club, and an emotional one too. Named in honour of someone close to the Gurrane family, we know he would be proud of the spirit shown by every crew member over the weekend.

Looking Ahead
The All-Ireland may be over for this year, but the tournament is just the beginning for Gurrane Boat Club. We’re continuing to grow, build, and welcome new members — and weekends like this remind us why we do it.

Thank you again to everyone who helped us get here. Let's continue to strive for success.
