Congratulations to all 10 Gurrane Boat Club crews who took part in the Flesk Valley Rowing Club Time Trial this weekend. It was a fantastic day of rowing, and we’d like to thank Flesk Valley for hosting such a well-organised and welcoming event.
For many of our members, this was their first regatta — and what a way to kick off the season. From our underage teams to our novice rowers and experienced crews, everyone represented the club with pride, spirit, and determination.
Standout Performances
We’re especially proud of two standout results:
- Our Veteran Men’s crew, who delivered a dominant row to take gold
- Our Senior Ladies, who put in an outstanding performance to also secure gold in their category
These results are a reflection of the hard work going in at training and the positive momentum building throughout the club.
Looking Ahead
With the season now in full swing, we’re looking forward to the next challenge: the Kerry Coastal Rowing Time Trial, hosted by Sive Rowing Club next weekend. Confidence is high, and we’re excited to see what our crews can achieve next.
